Lot of football games this weekend. Saturday morning CS Mioveni will face ACS Timisoara, team which relegated last season from the first league. FC Arges 1953 wiil meet Atletic 2 Bradu in the second round of 4th league. Sunday we have two games,Petrom Pitesti will face Sporting Stanesti and AFC Danut Coman will be hosts against Soimii Tigveni.

   Petrochimistul Stadium is situated near the exit to Bucharest. By walk, there are 30-40 minutes from the city center.
   If you want to take a taxi it will cost you 10-15 lei(2,3-3,2 euro) from the center.

History:

The Strand Stadium was built in 1936. First teams that played there were Sporting Pitesti and CFR Pitesti. Starting with 1953 FC Arges(named Dinamo Pitesti at that time) played in Strand until they gain promotion and Nicolae Dobrin Stadium was built. In 2000's International Pitesti played here in the third and second division., also CSM Argesul Pitesti played here in the fourth and third division. It has 2500 seatted places.

Getting there:

By walk, there are 10-15 minutes from the city center.
If you want to take a taxi it will cost you maximum 6 lei(1,4 euro) from the center.

History:

Built in 1964 under the name "1 Mai", the stadium was first used by FC Arges Pitesti. It has a capacity of 17.500 seatted places. Here is the place where Real Madrid was beaten 2-1 by the great team of FC Arges in 1972.

Getting there:

By walk, there are 15-20 minutes from the city center.

If you want to take a taxi, you will be there in 3-5 minutes. If you take it from the city center, it will cost you maximum 8 lei(1,8 €).
